Another vote from us Motorcycle users of GasCubby who have separate tire pressures for front and rear to enhance the vehicle data field.

Also would be nice to have a field for 2 tire or 4 tire vehicle when setting up a vehicle. When selected it would remove the unnecessary fields throughout areas of gas cubby (ie service reminders for tires a, b, c, d) that would not apply.

Thanks

Alan

If you added a couple of fields it would make it a complete package. The fields I would like to see are:
1. Initail Purchase Price.
2. Insurance.
3. Sale Price.
4. Total Cost Per Mile.
The Total Cost Per Mile is the field I really would like to see, but to get it you need to have the others available. This is a very telling number for what your car is really costing you that most people don't realize. When your employer pays you a certain amount per mile you will be surprised to find it usually doesn't cover the actual costs of driving your car.

Thanks

On the main screen where the basic information is placed for the particular car...i.e. Vin number, License plate, Tires, Insurance policy, etc...is it possible to add a field to this main page. For example I would like to add the type and number of the oil and oil filter respectively on this page. Thank you.

Assume that I have multiple cars defined, a Ford, a Mazda, a Chevy.

Currently when I switch into horizontal view to see the graphs, I can swipe left and right to go to the next graph.

I would love to have a new swipe, like swipe up or swipe down, to switch to the same graph currently displayed, but for another car of my fleet.

So, example:
I am looking at the 'Gas Stats' graph for my Chevy.
A swipe up and I go to the same Gas Stats graph for my Ford
Another swipe and I have the one for the Mazda

This would eliminate the need to go back to the vertical view and manually change the current car.

What a great program you have created BTW!!

Very interesting. I like it! Currently, I'm amassing all the ideas in this thread and everywhere else (including my brain) to decide on feature for version 3.0. I'll be sure to include this one.

I agree with Harold. There should be a page that lists you can input the filter types (name {of course I use FRAM :D } Oil, Air, Gas etc, and they type and amounts of fluids, particularly oil. I use this app and it is great, but when I am shopping for my filters and oil, it would be nice to have it all the information in one place, since each of the 4 vehicles I track take different oil and filters.

Thanks for all of your work. I use to keep track on a spread sheet, and since I got my iTOUCH and loaded this app, it works great!

My request is a slight interface change. Would it be possible for the "Previous" and "Next" buttons to remain in the same place on the screen as you progress through a fillup or maintenance entry. I would enter data more quickly if I didn't have to move my finger around to locate the button I want. Otherwise, this is an outstanding app — I use it all the time! Thanks.

Is the Notes section in your vehicle detail screen not reasonable to use for this? We'll consider a different solution but the Notes section is what we expected people to use. It might look something like the following:
Oil filter: FRAM CH10
Oil: 10W30 (5)
Antifreeze: green (5)

We wanted to do this but there were some reasons it wouldn't work. I think it is related to the number pad possibly not allowing the navigation buttons to stay at the bottom. I don't remember immediately but I'll be sure to request this again.

I know this is an old, well-abused topic, but I've got to throw in with Josh here:

Showing the MPG on the previous line is THE correct way to go. And yes, all of us have been doing it wrong all our lives in our own little log books, be they electronic or paper. I've known this for years and it always bugged me, especially because any time I put in a tank of premium instead of regular, the data would not show what it was supposed to, i.e., the possible/alleged benefits of Premium over Regular. Now, these guys have had the smarts to correct this pervasive error - nice going, Gas Cubby! :D

And this from someone who hasn't even purchased the app yet. Excuse me, I have to go purchase Gas Cubby now...
